Aeronautical society of India and ISRO Workshop

Happy to share that department of ECE Kalasalingam academy of Research and Education in association with Aeronautical society of India and ISRO successfully conducted one day workshop on artificial intelligence in space application on 23 March 2024. Morning session was a keynote address and invited talk from eminent scientist and deputy directors of ISRO. The afternoon session is a hands-on training to the participants on Matlab for AI in space application. There was a faculty interactions with the scientist in which director R and D of KARE and faculties from ECE and Aerospace has interacted with the scientist. Many aspects of possible collaboration such as respond project, project for ug and pg students were discussed. Possibility of problem statements from ISRO for Ph.D scholars, hosting 5 days isro event space expo which also include space show in KARE campus and conference funding under capacity building from ISRO has been discussed. Lots of inputs are given by the scientist to aerospace faculties regarding taking the research to the next level. The interaction went extremely well which may open lots of doors of collaborations with ISRO in the future.
