Spicetron 2023 – Intramural Co-curricular Event for KARE Students
The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (Deemed to be University), Krishnankoil, Tamilnadu, India organized the Spicetron 2023 – Intramural event for the students of the University on Circuit Design Challenge. Nearly 25 batches of various disciplines participated in the event.
Amidst the intricate world of electronic design, the SPICETRON Competition emerged as a hub of innovation, where budding engineers and seasoned electronics enthusiasts converged to showcase their prowess in designing and simulating circuits using SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis). On 17th August 2023 Forenoon, the Technology Innovation Laboratory at 8th Block hummed with anticipation as participants unveiled their meticulously crafted circuit design ideas, offering a glimpse into a future where electrical engineering and creativity intertwine.
The event celebrated the art of circuit design, a field that has transformed industries and brought groundbreaking technologies to life. Participants ranged from students mastering the fundamentals (II year) to seasoned professionals (IV year) pushing the boundaries of possibility, all drawn together by their shared passion for designing circuits that function flawlessly and efficiently. The competition encompassed a diverse range of circuit categories, each highlighting the versatility and complexity that SPICE simulations can handle.
Judging criteria went beyond just technical correctness; originality, efficiency, and practicality were also evaluated. A panel of judges consisting of experts in electronics design meticulously assessed each entry’s simulation accuracy, circuit innovation, and potential real-world impact.
